News and Events:
Partly sunny skies with highs in the teens will make for pleasant skiing and riding weather on Friday. Killington snowmakers are at it for antoher day, building stockpiles on Skyepeak and bolstering areas that traditionally melt faster in the spring. The pile at the top of Superstar has reached a height that requires ski and snowboard traffic to pass under snow gun hoses. The snowmaking season may be coming to an end, but we'll be skiing and riding at the Beast for months to come.

Packed powder and machine groomed snow will be the dominant snow surfaces on Friday, with just under half of Killington's 155 trails slated for grooming. Expert level skiers and riders will enjoy fresh corduroy on Ovation and Superstar, among others. Key lifts are scheduled from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Killington Parks
We've got 5 parks with more than 130 jumps, jibs, rails, and boxes plus a Minipipe and Superpipe to keep you lapping all day Get the lowdown. Please note that Neffland will be closed on Friday in preparation for the Neffland Space Jam coming Saturday.

Killington tickets and passes are always valid at Pico Mountain so be sure to check out our friendly sister just a few minutes west. Combined, the two resorts currently offer more than 90 miles of open terrain which is, by far, the most in the East. Get the details at picomountain.com.

News and Events:
The longest snowmaking season in the East (maybe anywhere) continues Thursday as Killington snowmakers fortify Skyepeak against the inevitable onslaught of spring. Each day the giant cone of snow atop Superstar grows, adding vertical feet to the trail and weeks to the ski and snowboard season. Although spring is still nowhere to be seen, the Beast knows it's coming, and the Beast is ready.

Winter is still calling the shots for Thursday, with partly sunny skies and temperatures in the low teens. You'll find soft, packed-powder corduroy on 68 groomed trails, including Double Dipper and the rarely groomed Outer Limits. Soft bumps and stashes of drifted powder will make up the rest of the trail count, a total of 155 trails and glades. Key lifts are scheduled from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

News and Events:
You might have noticed the gigantic mound of snow atop Superstar. That's proof positive that despite the unlimited deep powder turns in the woods, we're not losing focus on the longest season in the East.

For Tuesday expect silky corduroy on Superstar below the mound, on Needle's Eye and most of our learning terrain at Snowshed and Ramshead. Natural snow and soft bumps will remain on Swirl, Outer Limits, Double Dipper and Cascade.

With frigid temperatures lingering this week, be sure to cover your face and neck, take frequent breaks, and stay hydrated. Key lifts are scheduled from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

News and Events:
February was very good to us, we're sorry to see it go, but March is historically a very snowy and somewhat warmer month so, welcome, March. In keeping with its reputation this particular March will kick things off with Sunday temperatures pushing into the low 20s and snow developing Sunday afternoon. This first snowfall of March is likely to drop 4 inches by Monday, a nice little boost to the Beast's conditions.

Killington Groomers will execute an aggressive plan overnight, winching and grooming a total of 81 trails before first chair Sunday morning. A number of Killington's signature steep trails are on that plan including Outer Limits, Ovation, Double Dipper, and the famous Superstar, which is literally buried under as much as 30 feet of stockpiled snow. Key Lifts are scheduled from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

News and Events:
Here in Killington we firmly believe that snowy Mondays are the best sort of Mondays, and that's just the sort we expect to have. We could see 4 or 5 inches by first chair, and another inch through the day, enough to soften snow surfaces and fill in some tracks in the trees. Temperatures should rise into the mid-20s, making for a perfectly comfortable day to ski or ride the most open terrain in the East at Killington.

In the morning you can expect to find 72 of our trails freshly groomed, including most of the easier terrain in the Snowshed and Ramshead areas, as well as intermediate and expert trails like Cruise Control and East Fall. For soft, natural bumps, head for Escapade or Vagabond and if you like your moguls seeded, try the seeded bump zones on Vertigo, Mouse Trap, and Outer Limits. Key Lifts are scheduled from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Sunday temperatures will warm even more, with highs in the low 30s, making this a must-ski-or-ride weekend at Killington.

Blustery weather on Friday kept traffic at the Beast to a minimum, sheltering plenty of soft snow in the Beast's glades.
