TV Dispute Postpones Men's GS
BORMIO, Italy (Feb. 9) - A local wildcat television union dispute Wednesday forced a postponement in the men's giant slalom at the World Alpine Ski Championships. International Ski Federation President Gian Franco Kasper was optimistic the race would be held Thursday.

U.S. Alpine Director Jesse Hunt said, "This is disappointing. We have a strong GS team here, including Bode Miller [Franconia, NH] as the defending champion, and now we just have to readjust our focus and be ready to go whenever the race is held."
